Between 1985 and 1986, in the Vila Maria district of São Paulo, Brazil, at Andaraí Street, the idea that would become FESMA was born. It was there that the company's journey began. On November 25, 1986, FESMA was officially founded. In 1989, the company relocated to the Cumbica district, establishing its first company-owned facility at 461 Jati Street, while continuing its steady growth and development. Today, FESMA also operates from its modern manufacturing facility located in the Industrial Center of Arujá, inaugurated on November 25, 2005, and expanded in 2009. Initially, the company's activities focused on tooling manufacturing, later expanding into stamping dies and printed circuit board tooling. After 1992, FESMA began an extensive search for its own product line, manufacturing a variety of products such as bar stools, bicycles, floor drains, kart gears, and several other industrial components. In 1996, after investing in injection molding technology, FESMA launched its first Cable Carrier Systems. Shortly thereafter, the company expanded into the banking automation industry, a market in which it continues to operate today while supplying solutions to a wide range of industrial sectors.
A Historical Fact:
The name FESMA comes from the Portuguese expression "Ferramentaria Sem Máquina" ("Tool Shop Without Machines")..
When the company was founded, its partners had only a single drill—without a motor or even a chuck. They jokingly referred to their workshop as a "Ferramentaria Sem Máquina", and the initials of that expression eventually became the company's name: FESMA.
